One of the great things about homeschooling is that you can zero in on hobbies and other interests and use them as learning experiences.

Heather loves photography. The pictures below were taken with a Fuji MX-500 digital camera. Point your mouse at any picture for an explanation.

The wonderful scenery is southern Illinois

at Uncle Jim's Woods near Fairfield. The photographs under the nature shots bring out another example of effective homeschooling. With Heather's interest in photography, she took a college course in Digital Imaging.

Using the same camera, Heather expanded her PhotoShop skills and produced, well, interesting effects. Here's the great part as far as homeschooling goes: this college class counts as both high school credit and college credit. Great effective use of time, right? Many of Heather's photos taken at music concerts are posted on Christian Bands' websites.
